Nintendo has released some beautiful artwork detailing enemies we have not seen in trailers and more of a glimpse of Super Mario 3D World's expansive world. You can see the Green Sprixie, trapped in a bottle, Boom-Boom and Pom-Pom riding a strange train, a sea creature that is similar in appearance to Dorrie, Super Mario 64's famous sea serpent, along with the Toad Brigade Captain in a square level that we saw in the E3 trailer. Last but not least, we see Bowser and his minions guarding what appears to be a theme park world in the distance. Is this 3D World's special world? Or perhaps maybe just the fourth world, as the E3 demo had a boss fight take place in an area similar to that. One thing I find strange is that the Double-Cherry power-up appears nowhere in this image. In fact, only the Super Bell and the Super Mushroom appear. No other power-ups.
One more thing I'd like to point out is if you zoom very, very close, you can make out the Comet Observatory from Super Mario Galaxy by the theme park world. What is it doing here? Is it a hidden easter egg? Or, will we have that as our hub word to switch between world maps? Also, there's a roller coaster in the world too. Is this a level? Or just a background detail? You can find more predictions here.
