Nintendo has let slip a lot more about their upcoming fitness game, Wii Fit U, as well us some unexpected free-to-play surprises.
Well, one of the new things announced was the Wii Fit U's launch price and date. Many would probably assume you would get it for $60, Nintendo's well-known favorite price point for Wii U games, but no. You can download a free, 30-day trial for free (Nov. 1 - Jan. 31, 2014), and if you purchase a Fit Meter (black or white) and sync it with your Wii U, you will be able to obtain Wii Fit U for as low as $19.99. Now, of course, there are physical options as well. There's the Wii Fit U, Fit Meter bundle for $49.99, and the Wii Fit U, Fit Meter and Wii Balance Board bundle for $89.99.
There was also a new Wii Street U: powered by Google update announced today, which adds Wii Balance Board functionality. By the way, this software is only free until October 31, 2013. So make sure to get it now if you have a Wii U already!
Last, but certainly not least, is Wii Sports Club. This is the first-ever free-to-play game from Nintendo, with Bowling and Tennis being purposefully excluded from the game, requiring you to either pay a $1.99 day pass or a $9.99 Club Pass (buy once and keep it forever) to play them. However, you still get 3 free games: baseball, golf, and boxing. Also, you can now play online co-op and join a club. Oh, and did I forget to mention the game is now in full HD? Releasing Nov. 7
